The Electrophysiology service provides invasive
electrophysiological studies including atrial fibrillation and ventricular
tachycardia focal ablation procedures. Three invasive
labs are supported by a surgical electrophysiological program.
Treatment modalities offered include:
-
Implantation of pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators, cardiac resynchronization therapy devices, and event monitors
-
Electrophysiology studies
-
Radiofrequency catheter ablation
-
Catheter cryoablation
- Pharmacological therapy
-
Laser lead extraction
Each year more than 1,000 patients invasive diagnostic
electrophysical studies.
More than 200 pacemakers and 500 implantable
defibrillators are implanted each year.
