Peripheral Vascular Disease
The ankle-brachial index (ABI) is
one of the most useful tests to assess lower extremity arterial perfusion. The
test screens for peripheral vascular disease and helps define its severity.
Service for ankle-brachial index
testing is provided by the Cardiopulmonary Stress Testing Laboratory (CPX), one
of five service groups of the Cardiac Diagnostic Unit at
Duke
University
Medical
Center , which provides service to
more than 25,000 patients each year.
